The days flew by on this trip. They always do but I really lived in the moment and soaked up every minute. I had the most amazing time and must thank Katie for her hospitality and all the plans. We had a blast!

Saturday we took a day trip to Blackpool. It’s errr ….an experience! Sort of a mini Vegas in a way but on the beach. Don’t envision American beaches—it’s cold and certainly no one is in a swimsuit! Lots of lights and the best people watching.

Sunday and Monday I sadly had my last shifts at the rescue. I absolutely love being there and spending time with the cats and volunteers. Sundays are quite busy as the rescue is open to the public in the afternoon so there’s quite a buzz about.

On Monday after my shift Katie, Flora and I took a nice walk to city centre where we met a volunteer for a cuppa. It was a perfect way to close out my stay. I can’t convey with words how much the BCWR community and Katie have come to mean to me. Just an amazing experience. I am grateful to my boss, remote work, Sara, and Katie. Til next time!
