I have been in England over a week now and have gone back-and-forth about whether to do this blog. I do like having a record of my trip. However, I don’t always have time to write. A colleague suggested I don’t have to write details but start with at least some pictures. So we’ll see.
The trip here was thankfully uneventful, but it is a very, very long travel day. I arrived on Thursday morning 3rd of September with great anticipation and excitement over being able to spend the weekend celebrating the 20th anniversary of Bradford Cat Watch Rescue and Sanctuary. I am so grateful to have been able to be here and assist in a small way with the events. It was a grand weekend! A well-attended Saturday evening event had an outstanding musician and lots of fellowship with volunteers. Sunday, the rain stopped just in time to allow for several hundred guests to enjoy the fantastic new facilities at the rescue and pay tribute to Katie, the rescue’s founder. It is something I will always remember and I am so fortunate to call Katie and other volunteers friends. I am also beyond fortunate that Sara supports my little adventure and is literally keeping everything going at home—no small task.
Below are some photos of the celebration!
